Her Story
I was asked to tell the story of how Hughie and I met, but I’d rather share with you why I chose to marry him.
I easily get cold; he keeps a huge blanket in his car just to keep me warm. I always wake up thirsty in the middle of the night; he ensures that my bottle is filled with hot water before leaving my place. I have a very bad allergy to some medicines; he keeps a list of them and ensures I don’t take the wrong ones. When I fall asleep in his car, he lowers the volume and covers my face from the lights ahead with his hand. I have stomach problems; he gently reminds me not to eat too much spicy food. I’m addicted to humor; he sends memes and funny videos. I’m into romantic stuff; he surprises me with flowers and writes me love letters. On top of that, he shows his love for me to everyone. Having his IG feeds filled with my pictures and having them as his lock screen. And every day, without fail, he tells me how beautiful I am and how much he loves me. He is the simplest yet most significant part of my life that I never imagined needing.
Someone once told me that we don’t have to say ‘I love you’ every day, because ‘love’ will lose its meaning. I was living my life believing in that theory, until I met Hughie. And today, I know for sure that love will grow as much as you express it. – Sahara
His Story
We’ve been through ups and downs together. But as much as the world tries to tear us apart, there will always be a reason for me to come back to her.
She understands my love language, always making sure to hold my hand whenever, wherever, and whatever the situation is. I always feel like I’m not good enough for her, but she always makes me feel special and treats me like I am the only one for her. I worry a lot, my mind is always everywhere. But she always provides comfort, making sure that everything will be okay. She knows how to bring a smile to my face with her unique ideas. She keeps our photos, letters, and any memorable stuff in her ‘magical box’. Whenever I join her family and friends’ agenda, she always makes sure that I don’t feel left behind. Her smile and hug saves me whenever I feel like the world is against me.
She’s such a lovely person, a beautiful soul you could ever meet. She cares about the surrounding, her family, friends, and every living creature around her. Her love is the irreplaceable element that makes my life complete. She has helped me grow in ways I never imagined. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without her, and I don’t want to spend the rest of my life without her in it. – Hughie
