Our Love Story
“In an unexpected yet lovely way, God has brought us together. He lets us get to know one another through someone we both know.
We began our story via WA at the end of March. In early April 2023, we finally met for the first time during Easter celebration. Even though it was still very awkward for us, that day will always be remembered as our precious moment meeting and celebrating Easter for the first time together.
Since then, we have been communicating more frequently. Dedy was even willing to travel 578 km once a month so that we could meet in person.
Our relationship has its own ups and downs, much like the up and down buttons on a keyboard. We can say that our relationship is like an internet connection. The signal can occasionally be both strong and weak.
Facing the ups and downs together, we realise that all these things have helped us learn to understand each other better. Then, we made the decision to formally take our relationship in a more serious direction around the end of June 2023.
Through prayer and careful consideration, we eventually found the strength to ask for our parents’ prayers and blessings so that we are able to carry out our engagement on 20 July 2024
We never thought that we could get through all this without God’s help and intervention. We finally got to celebrate our wedding day today, exactly 676 days after our first encounter.
Please, be our witnesses as we start and log into our new life with boundless love and no expiration date, since love is essentially like the Law of Conservation of Energy where it cannot be created or destroyed. However, God has the power to send love into everyone of our hearts. We shall always be able to move on in life together because of God’s Love and Word.”
